Serving in the real estate profession is the result of a journey, one that has taken me to many parts of our nation. I’ve had the pleasure of living in rural, suburban, and high-density inner cities. Today, I serve my Sumter real estate clients by using what I gleaned from being a newspaper and magazine reporter and editor, and a corporate communications and marketing professional with leading national retail, hospitality, and healthcare organizations. As a journalist, I learned to listen for the “real” story, often by asking a simple question at the end of each interview: “What else is happening?” Since becoming a REALTOR® in 2017, I do the same type inquiry with real estate clients. We engage in conversations where we learn what they want and why. This discovery helps me create a partnership that results in finding an ideal property, or in painting a picture description of a home they want to sell. It is my genuine, inquisitive nature to dig deeper than the surface that sets me apart from the competition.
Beyond the business world, my passions are animal and child welfare. One of my accomplishments while with retailer petco animal supplies, inc., was the formation of the petco foundation, the company’s non-profit. Since inception in 1999, the foundation has raised more than $230 million for grassroots animal welfare groups around the county. I’ve also helped develop and implement fundraisers supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
If you are looking to sell or buy a home in the Sumter area, I would be honored to bring my passion, creativity, and determination to serve all your real estate needs.
